We are a travel and adventure photography team and our office is the great outdoors. Life is too short to do something you don’t love. Mainstream living saw the rear view mirror a few years after moving to Alaska in 1988. Today, while headquarters is a 100% solar home in Taos, New Mexico where adventure still awaits within arm’s reach, you can still find us frequenting the wonders of Alaska.
Our life is outside the ordinary – with no regrets or compromises. This philosophy is at the heart of the images we make. We aim to wake up a spirit in people, that voice they hear that tells them to get out and live. Even if your life is traditional most days, when you are in front of our camera, the adventure begins. Walking into any situation, from summer to winter or water to mountains, our goal is to find a way to visualize our love for the outdoors.
The connection humankind has to nature is magical. If we have done our job well, we have not only captured the physical benefits but also the emotional and spiritual rewards from an inspiring experience. At the end of the day, there are no short cuts to authenticity and quality.
Michael: Eagle Scout from the Florida swamp and former Air Force weather forecaster, national award winning photographer that melds meteorology and design to find and capture aspirational and attention-getting light.
