BYOB: Bring your own boat and safety gear, OR coordinate with Cathy Hart who has boats lined up.

No stranger to water and water based photography, adventure and travel photographer, Michael DeYoung, will host an ASONP exclusive all day workshop floating the Upper Kenai River in Cooper Landing.

Itinerary: Weather permitting, we start with a sunrise shoot at Kenai Lake to capture sunrise colors and steam.

9-11: Keynote presentation at Cooper Landing Community Center on water based landscape, travel and even action photography, thinking your images through from conception to post production, and best practices from shooting from a moving boat and making impactful imagery in all types of weather.

1-8pm: Group boat travel from Kenai Lake outlet to Jim’s Landing with several landings, focusing on early fall landscapes, creative water exposures and on boats and action at several of the rapids.

Join travel and adventure photographer, ASONP business member and long time Alaska pro for a comprehensive 2-day weekend seminar on the business of turning pro with outdoor photography. You will be immersed in all aspects of professional business development including understanding the overall industry, developing a strategy for getting published, creating images that appeal to editorial and commercial markets, finding the right clients and more!

Michael DeYoung taught this subject as a 5-7-day workshop for 7 years at Rocky Mountain School of Photography and again as a 4-day workshop for Arizona Highways. By removing field assignments and critique much of this valuable content on the business side of photography can be presented in a weekend seminar.
